At the end of February, my work team ventured to Seattle to get some in person (IRL) time together. This is an every year occurrence for teams at our company. (currently canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic) We were there just as the COVID-19 issues were starting. Luckily we returned before all of the pandemic stuff started.
I just wanted to share a short video of my travel there and some of the things we did. We ate at some great restaurants and toured the MOPOP Museum. We did one of the underground tours. I learned a lot of Seattle history from that. It was very cool.
Here is the video and a 360 image below.

Seattle Fun

We had a lot of fun and learned a lot about how we work alone and together.
Our company, Automattic, is a fully distributed company so working from home is our norm. I hope everyone working from home is staying safe and practicing social distancing. Don’t go out unless you need to.
If anyone has any questions about working remotely, I am happy to answer questions. I love it and have been doing it for almost 3 years now. Time management is key and taking breaks is important as it one of the reasons folks have a hard time. Potential burn out is a real thing.
Have a great day and I hope you enjoy the video and pictures.
